By creating an account or using Table & Tine, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines.

2. Description of Service

Table & Tine is a recipe management application that allows users to import, organize, and store recipes for personal use; share recipes via the Community Table; receive suggested ingredient substitutions based on dietary preferences; and create and share cookbooks.

Table & Tine is a platform, not a publisher. We provide tools for users to store, organize, and share their own content. We do not create, curate, or endorse the recipes, ingredient substitutions, or other content shared on the platform.

3. User-Generated Content

3.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you create and upload to Table & Tine, including recipes, photos, and cookbook collections.

3.2 License Grant

By publishing content to the Community Table, you grant Table & Tine a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and reproduce that content within the App for the purpose of providing the service.

3.3 Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for any content you publish. You represent and warrant that you have the right to publish the content, it does not violate any copyright or intellectual property right, and it does not contain misleading, harmful, or dangerous information.

3.4 Copyright Safe Harbor (DMCA)

Table & Tine complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). To file a DMCA takedown notice, contact:

We will remove or disable access to allegedly infringing content within 2 business days of receiving a valid notice.

3.5 Content Moderation

We reserve the right to remove content that violates our Community Guidelines, including copyrighted content published without permission, content that could cause physical harm, spam, or fraudulent content.

4. Ingredient Substitutions — NOT MEDICAL ADVICE

Informational only — they are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
Not a substitute for professional guidance — always consult a physician, registered dietitian, or allergist before making dietary changes
Not guaranteed to be safe — individual sensitivities vary
Not comprehensive — we may not identify every allergen or cross-contamination risk

By using the ingredient substitution feature, you acknowledge that:

You are responsible for verifying the safety of all ingredients and substitutions for your specific dietary needs
You will not rely solely on Table & Tine for managing food allergies, Celiac disease, diabetes, or any other medical condition
Table & Tine is not liable for any adverse reaction, illness, or injury resulting from suggested ingredient substitutions
Always read product labels, as ingredient compositions change and formulations vary by brand

For severe allergies and Celiac disease: Even if a substitution is marked "Gluten-Free" or "Nut-Free," you must verify that the specific product is certified free from cross-contamination.

5. Pet Treat Recipes

Table & Tine allows users to share pet treat recipes. These are user-generated, not veterinary advice, and may not be nutritionally complete. Ingredient safety varies by species. You are solely responsible for verifying that any recipe is safe for your specific pet.

6. Intellectual Property

The Table & Tine application, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Table & Tine and protected by intellectual property laws. Users retain ownership of their content. Recipes involve complex copyright — ingredient lists are not copyrightable, but creative expression in instructions and storytelling is. We encourage attribution when publishing to the Community Table.

7. Subscription (Table & Tine Premium)

7.2 Free Tier: Up to 15 personal recipes. Import, dietary swaps, community browsing, and sharing are free.

7.3 Premium Features: Unlimited recipes, iCloud sync, camera OCR, voice dictation, shared cookbooks, priority extraction.

7.4 Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions auto-renew unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

7.5 Managing Your Subscription: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Table & Tine, or App Store → [Your Profile] → Subscriptions.

7.6 Free Trial: 7-day free trial for both plans. Converts to paid at end unless canceled 24 hours before trial ends. One trial per Apple ID per subscription.

7.7 Refund Policy: All payments processed through Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com within 14 days of purchase for refund requests.

7.8 Price Changes: 30 days notice before any price increase. You may cancel before the new price applies.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Personal recipes stored locally remain on your device; Community Table content may be removed.

9. Limitation of Liability

Table & Tine is provided "AS IS" without warranties. We do not warrant ingredient substitutions will be accurate, safe, or appropriate. In no event shall Table & Tine be liable for any injury, illness, or adverse reaction, or damages exceeding the amount paid for Premium ($31.99 annual / $3.99 monthly), or $0 for free-tier users. Table & Tine acts as an interactive computer service provider under 47 U.S.C. § 230.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Table & Tine from claims arising from content you publish, use of substitutions without medical consultation, or violation of these Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Disputes shall be resolved in Virginia courts.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via in-app prompt or email.
