Community Guidelines

The Community Table is a space for home cooks to share real recipes from real kitchens. To keep it that way:

✅ What's Welcome

Original recipes you created or substantially adapted
Family recipes with your personal modifications
Recipes with clear attribution to the original source
Honest, helpful cooking notes and tips
Recipes that are safe and edible

❌ What's Not Allowed

Recipes copied verbatim from cookbooks, websites, or blogs without attribution
AI-generated recipes presented as your own
Recipes containing known toxic or dangerous ingredients
Spam, self-promotion, or advertising disguised as recipes
Pet treat recipes without a species safety disclaimer
Content that violates any law

Attribution

If a recipe was inspired by or adapted from someone else's work, credit them. A simple "Adapted from [Author/Site]" in the recipe notes is sufficient. If you imported a recipe from a URL, the source attribution is automatically included.

Reporting

If you see content that violates these guidelines, use the Report button on any Community Table recipe or email support@tableandtine.com.

Enforcement

First violation: Warning and content removal
Second violation: Temporary suspension from Community Table
Third violation: Permanent ban from Community Table

Severe violations (dangerous content, illegal content, copyright infringement) may result in immediate permanent ban.

Copyright & Importing

Importing recipes from websites for personal use generally falls under fair use. However, publishing imported recipes to the Community Table without the original author's permission may constitute copyright infringement. When in doubt, add your own modifications and always attribute the source.

Content Review

We do not pre-review all Community Table content. We rely on community reporting and automated checks for obvious safety issues. Recipes flagged by the community are reviewed within 48 hours.
